About Us:
The Honor Guard of Dundalk Post 38 American Legion is a guard of honor formed within the post. The Guard consists of a select and hand picked members who are able to give and obey orders, believe in their country and Constitution, believe in their flag and democracy, and adhere to the ideals of the American Legion in it’s highest tradition. The Honor Guard represents the membership of Post 38 by attending parades, funerals, and civic affairs (both City and State) for the good of Country and the American Legion. The Guard is also comprised of members who are trained for any emergency in time of peace or war to help their fellow man in time of distress or disaster.
It is indeed a honor and a privilege to be a member of such an outstanding organization. The Guard is a group that exemplifies the highest traditions in military and peacetime operations. We are a unit that works together for the good of the American Legion and the United States of America.
